Hear from others who were exactly where you are

What brought them here, and what they found when they did.

Losing a life partner touches every part of your life.

Your confidence, your identity, your sense of what comes next.
Nothing feels certain anymore.

Emotionally

There are the waves you can't predict. The guilt about laughing, or about a fleeting moment of happiness. The guilt about still being here perhaps. The loneliness of being surrounded by people who love you - but who just don't get it, because they haven't been where you are.

Practically

The finances, the admin, the decisions - the things your partner may have handled that now land on you, alone, on top of everything else. Nobody warns you about that part.

Physically

Grief lives in the body. The exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix and the tension you're carrying without even realising. Your whole system is working overtime just to get you through the day.

Mentally

And then there's widow brain. The fog. The forgetting. The inability to concentrate on things that used to come easily. It can last months, even years. It is real, it is recognised, and it makes complete sense.

Sometimes you can’t even close your eyes and find relief. Grief follows you there too, and it can feel like there’s nowhere to escape. Because home was where they were too.

You’re not imagining how big this feels.
Nor do you need to “move on.”

Losing a partner is widely considered one of the most stressful life events a person can experience. Research also shows that grief after partner loss doesn’t simply fade with time and that strong social support is one of the most protective factors in helping people navigate it.

“We don’t heal in isolation, but in community

Re-member is a membership community for widows and surviving partners

A place to carry your grief and find your way back to life.

Not one or the other. Both.

Inside you'll find a warm group of women at every stage of their grief journey. I’ll be there to coach and guide you through all of it, and Orla Blackburn will support you with movement and meditation too.

In Re-member, you will:

  • Gain real tools and skills to help you navigate every part of your loss — from the practical to the emotional, the physical, and everything in between

Re-member is not simply a support group

It’s not a place where we only sit with the darkness, although there is always space for that.

When my husband died, I needed something that held the grief and helped me find a way forward. Because grief and living aren’t opposites — they’re partners in healing, part of the same journey.

I couldn’t find what I needed.
So I created it.

In Re-member, you will access support for every corner of your grief:

Take what speaks to you. Leave what doesn't.

Emotional

Twice-monthly coaching sessions with me - Karen, where you can name what you're feeling, find the tools to move through it, and say the things you can't say anywhere else. We also offer dedicated spaces for new members and those further along in their journey.

Many women tell us it's the first time they've felt genuinely supported - not just heard, but guided too.

Physical

Orla Blackburn, Holistic Widow Guide and Mentor, offers gentle movement and meditation sessions designed to support the body through grief. Using mindful movement, these sessions help soften stored tension, regulate the nervous system, and allow emotions to move through the body safely.

Many women leave these sessions feeling lighter, calmer, and more deeply connected to themselves.

Practical

Sessions covering the practical challenges that have landed on you, all the things you're now expected to take on that no one really talks about. Sorting through belongings, making decisions alone, navigating the day-to-day of running a home.

You'll leave feeling a little steadier and better equipped to face what's ahead.

Community

A warm, always-on community in our Facebook group, with weekly check-ins, a book club, Coffee & Connect, and a rich calendar of sessions throughout the month.

That could look like creative mindfulness, word of the year sessions, and dedicated spaces for new members and those further along — all delivered by widows who understand this loss from the inside.

There's always something to come back to.

There’s always something here to come back to and for many women, it becomes something they rely on.

“The group makes you feel warm and relaxed, and I find myself opening up more each time. I always leave the Zoom meetings feeling like a weight has been lifted. The Facebook group is such a support in between sessions, a place where you can share your feelings and know someone will always respond with care and understanding. This group truly is the best thing that has happened to me since I lost my husband seven months ago.”

Your people are waiting for you

Most members tell us they joined for the coaching.
What they didn't expect was the community.

Inside Re-member, you'll find women at every stage of this journey.
Some are newly widowed and carrying exactly what you're carrying right now.
Others are months or years ahead — rebuilding, finding peace, living again.

Their presence quietly answers the question you're most afraid to ask:
Will I ever be okay?
Seeing them, you'll start to believe that you will.

And something else happens here too.
You don't just find support, you find your people.

We have members from all over the world, so you're rarely alone, whatever time of day or night. You’ll create real friendships, women you'll message on the hard days. Women who'll be there for the highs and the lows.

A little about me

Hi — I’m Karen — the UK’s first Widow Coach and host of The Widow Podcast, the first UK podcast made for those who have lost a life partner.

I know what it feels like to be where you are.
Not because I've studied grief from a distance, but because I've lived it.
When my husband Simon died, my girls were nine and five.

I've sat in the darkness you're sitting in right now.
In fact, I still sit there sometimes today — as we all know, this grief process isn’t linear, is it?

I’m a Certified Grief Educator trained under world-renowned grief expert David Kessler. I’m also a qualified Health Coach and a Master Intuitive Psychology Coach.

This means I have the tools to support you.
And as a widow and a mum, I have the understanding and the compassion too.

I know that the love doesn't die when a partner dies.
And that a life that feels good again is possible, because I'm living it.

I'm not here to tell you it'll all be ok,
or that you just need to think positively.
I'm here to meet you exactly where you are and help you take the next steps forward, in your own time, in your own way.

“Karen’s group, Re-member, is truly unique. It feels close and intimate, and you never feel like just another person in the room. Alongside Karen’s support and insight, we’re able to support each other too, which makes such a difference when you’re going through something like this. Karen herself, despite her own loss and grief, is incredibly warm and compassionate. It’s almost like having a close friend who truly understands, even though we’ve never met.”

Jan

You are not a burden.
You have a burden.

Re-member is for the widow who is tired of feeling like a burden to the people around her. Who has smiled and said "I'm fine" one too many times. Who knows, deep down, that she needs more than she's currently letting herself receive.

It isn't about fixing your grief or rushing you through it. Healing is not a destination — it is a process. And it doesn't have to feel this heavy forever.

Re-member is a place where that process is honoured, held and supported for as long as you need it.

Whether you lost your partner last month or five years ago, whether you're barely getting through the days or starting to find your feet again —
there is a place for you here.

It's never too early. It's never too late.

We're not here to move you away from your grief,
or away from the love you carry for your person.

We're here to help you grow around it.

To learn to carry it alongside you,
as you make your way back to a life that feels good again.

Not just surviving.
Living.

Picture this…

It's a Wednesday evening. You close the Zoom call and sit for a moment.
Something has shifted — not everything, but something.

You laughed at something someone said.
You cried at something else.
You said something out loud you've never said to anyone.

And for the first time in months, you don't feel quite so alone with it.
That's what Wednesday evenings can look like in Re-member…

Grief has its own timeline.
We meet you exactly where you are.

Join
and stop carrying this alone from day one.

Show up
however that looks for you.
Take what speaks to you, leave what doesn't.

Find your footing
as the fog lifts, the tools land,
and grief starts to feel less like something just happening to you.

Live again
alongside your grief, not away from it.

“It’s easy to think there’s a timeline and that you might be ‘doing it wrong.’ But Karen has helped me see new ways of understanding and navigating my grief, and reassured me that there is no one-size-fits-all. I feel as though Karen has become a real friend, and I will always value her compassion, the clarity of her guidance, and her ability to bring us all together on our journeys.”

Cecily

If you're ready to stop carrying this alone,
we'd love to welcome you.

It's never too early. It's never too late.
If you feel called, it's time.
